Metacognition

This unit can establish the foundation for all of the following units.
It introduces students to the concept of thinking about their thinking—this is the skill good readers have in common.

Story Structure and Retelling

This unit forms the basis for all fiction reading. It includes – 5 lessons pertaining to story structure and five to retelling. Additional lessons included provide instructional materials for teaching about “character”; “setting”; and “problem”.
